To All Members of the St Paul Stake:
We are saddened that we are not able to be together this weekend for Stake Conference. With all the changes over the past week, we find ourselves facing some new realities.
As you know all church activities have been temporarily suspended. This suspension of meetings includes Sacrament Meetings. With that in mind, we wanted to share some information and principles of participating in the ordinance of the Sacrament.
The administering of the Sacrament is under the direction and authority of the Bishop/President of your home Ward/Branch. Under his direction and approval, the Sacrament will be held in small groups and in homes until this suspension of Church activities is lifted.
Over the next few days, the Bishop/President (or Bishopric/Presidency) will provide further information and authorization to administer the Sacrament. Please do not begin administering the Sacrament without authorization.
Since this weekend was planned to be Stake Conference, our Stake was not planning to receive the Sacrament. So some of you might not get direction on administering the Sacrament until after this weekend. Please be patient as we organize this new effort.
We feel the direction of the Lord through President Nelson as we (as a Church) have already been transitioning to more Home Centered worship. In some ways, we have been 'practicing' home centered church for almost 2 years. Now we get to put this practice to work.
We know as you focus on your home and your relationship with your Savior - you will see the blessings of the Atonement in your lives.
Sincerely,
President David Pattberg
President Richard Ertel
President Daniel Ward
Saint Paul Stake Presidency
