Brothers and sisters,
In addition to the following note from our ward council, please find information regarding the sacrament and our next Sabbath devotional at the end of this email.
The world is facing unprecedented times as a result of COVID-19. Concerns over this virus have impacted all of our daily lives, leading to questions, frustration, isolation and anxiety. One thing that has not nor will ever change is our Heavenly Father's love for each of us—for you. We have truly been blessed in so many ways through the guidance of our prophet, President Russell M. Nelson as directed by our Heavenly Father. We see this first hand in the direction of the home-centered gospel study plan of "Come Follow Me"—what a blessing to have this glorious gospel in our lives. Brothers and sisters, we members of the Twin Cities YSA Ward Council express our sincere love to each of you. We love you... Heavenly Father loves you... You are not alone in this time. You have your families and friends, your ward family, and a loving Heavenly Father.
At a time like this, the Lord's directed ministering program has more meaning than ever. We are guided by a desire to follow the commandments to love and serve our neighbor—to love them even as the Savior does. The Savior Himself set a beautiful example of ministering during His life as he walked with, encouraged, blessed, taught, and loved all those He came in contact with. Now is our opportunity as a ward family! As we are all aware, there may be a need to be creative in how we minister.
May we as a ward family take this opportunity NOW to share our love—our Savior's love—YOUR love with others in our ward. As you think of someone, stop and act now. If you think of someone, call someone. If you think of someone, text someone. Every day. Don't wait! Let's do as our Savior did—reach out now, reach out tomorrow, reach out the next day. Let this be our charge:
"Think of Someone—Reach out to THAT Someone!"
Prayerfully look through our ward list and your contacts. As you think of someone, reach out and call someone. This WILL touch the hearts of others; it will help uplift; it will help bind our ward family.
We love you, Heavenly Father loves you. May God Bless you.
With Love, the Twin Cities Ward Council
The Sacrament
In accordance with our state governor's directive to stay at home starting this weekend through April 10th, we will not be organizing priesthood holders to administer the sacrament at this time. We encourage you to follow Pres. Nelson's invitation to fast this Sunday and to continue to prepare personally for General Conference the following weekend.
That said, we want to be ready to administer the sacrament as soon as the stay-at-home order is lifted! If you have not already indicated your interest in joining a sacrament group, please reach out to Tia Heule (763-639-5354) or Reese Petersen (320-290-5282) and they will be happy to assist you.
Sabbath Morning Devotional
We are planning to host another morning devotional on Sunday, March 29th at 10:00am. Different from previous weeks, we will be using Zoom as our platform. You can tune in either with your computer or over the phone:
