Hello all! This week hasn't been super eventful other than a few cool things, so I'll keep this one a bit shorter. Fall has been in full swing, and dispite the usually cold weather we got a bit of warmth. We took advantage of that and did some more biking than usual, which felt awesome. And in another update: I recently went to the doctor to get checked for Bells palsy, a type of palsy that effects the right side of my face. That means that right now I can only half smile and half blink, which feels really weird. Thankfully, it seems to be pretty minor and doesn't really effect me all that much. Im already on the mend, so add that to the tally of huge blessings from God!
-on Wednesday we went over to our friends Dan and Jen. When we got there they were both watching the last session of general conference, so we sat and watched with them for a bit haha. It was cool to see them so invested in hearing the words of the prophets!
-Thursday we went to Zone Conference, and I got to see a bunch of old friends. Elder Curry and Elder Cunow were there, as well and a bunch of other elders from previous areas, so that was really cool. President Richardson talked about our "mission culture" and what we can do to change how we view our mission and our fellow missionaries. We also talked about understanding our goals: if we have our goal in mind its not a matter of how hard it's going to be or how much effort we will have to put in, it's a matter of when it will happen. That was pretty encouraging to me, and it reminded me that no matter what happens, God will bring His work forward.
-Saturday was Homecoming in our collage town and while we were walking to the library we passed a lot of partying college students who were wondering why we were dressed up so nice haha
Sorry once again for the shorter email, it's been an interesting week but between all the great stuff there's a tendency to just have a period of radio silence. Sometimes that's all it is! And even if nothings happening in terms of work there's still so many instances of God's love in my life.
That's about all from me this week, see you all next Monday!
