Dear TCYSA Members and Visitors,
On Wednesday July 22nd, Governor Walz signed executive order 20-81, which requires wearing of face masks for indoor public locations. In the state's FAQ, they clarify that this does apply to places of worship. In spite of questions of their effectiveness, or the inconvenience of wearing masks, in Article of Faith 12 it states that we believe in "obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law." To be obedient, the Twin Cities YSA Ward will require the wearing of masks for all in attendance, beginning this Sunday, July 26th. We will also have some masks available for those who may not have one or have forgotten it at home.
We are so grateful for the freedom to worship together, and partake of the sacrament, even if, for a time, we must do so with a few safety precautions. Thank you all for your support and obedience and in helping keep every one of us safe.
Sincerely,
Bishop Stoddard

Note: The governor's order does include an exemption for individuals "with a medical condition, mental health condition, or disability that makes it unreasonable for the individual to maintain a face covering."
