Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Anoka Minnesota Stake,
As President Russell M. Nelson approaches his 100th birthday on September 9, 2024, he invites us to reflect on a meaningful way to celebrate this milestone. Inspired by the parable of the lost sheep (Matthew 18 and Luke 15), President Nelson encourages each of us to reach out to those in need, just as a shepherd would care for a lost sheep. In a recent message, President Nelson shared, "One spiritual offering that would brighten my life is for each of us to reach out to 'the one' in our lives who may be feeling lost or alone."
As we ponder this prophetic invitation, let us find ways to act on it that you feel most appropriate to you individually or as a family. We encourage you to integrate this 99+1 invitation naturally through your ministering, lessons, or other efforts that are already part of your day-to-day lives. We are deeply grateful for all of your service and ministering, and we know that your continued efforts make a significant difference.
