Dear Brothers and Sisters,
What a blessing it is to have a living prophet on the earth! We are grateful for the direction provided in Thursday's "First Presidency Message on COVID-19." You may find a link to this message here on the Church's website.
We note government/CDC recommendations for Hennepin and Anoka counties in our stake (with a high COVID-19 transmission rate) is for "everyone in areas of substantial or high transmission to wear a mask in public indoor places, even if they are fully vaccinated."
We recommend the use of face masks in our sacrament and second hour meetings in support of the invitation of the First Presidency and CDC/MDH recommendations.
We are working with bishops on a few adjustments to follow the First Presidency's direction locally. These include providing increased opportunities for social distancing in our sacrament and second hour meetings and ensuring careful administration and passing of the sacrament.
We continue to encourage those who have not been vaccinated to do so (General Handbook 38.7.13).
We are grateful for your patience and understanding as we seek to provide a safe environment for all to worship the Savior Jesus Christ in our meetings. Please contact a member of your bishopric with any specific concerns or needs.
