During this season of helping and serving, we have been made aware of an urgent volunteer need for Loaves and Fishes. The request below has come from our Area JustServe Specialist. If you can help at any of the locations or times listed in the link below, please consider signing up. There are 2 locations within our Stake Boundaries. The service need is for this Monday, December 7th.

Hello,
Loaves & Fishes is an amazing organization that works to alleviate food insecurity and hunger in Minnesota. By the end of 2020 they will have provided over 3 million meals! They have meal sites within each of your stakes. I have worked with their volunteer coordinator to post their meal sites on JustServe, as they are run by volunteers. Today, they have reached out to me because they need some additional help this coming Monday.
They need three volunteers for select meal sites on Monday, December 7th--a great FHE opportunity. These volunteers would be passing out surveys to those picking up meals. This is a one page document given to the households receiving meals that day. Volunteers would give out the survey and a pencil (they keep the pencil) and a bag of candy to say thanks for participating in the survey. They would collect the surveys from participants as well. Most shifts are about 1 hr and 45 min.This survey is a key component to Loaves & Fishes receiving future funding and I hope we can help them with this.
Volunteers should be 18 yrs of age and older and should be prepared to be outside (after sunset for most shifts--a few are lunch shifts, though). Volunteers should wear masks and any other personal protective equipment they would like. The link below has all the dining sites that are conducting the survey. I don't know the exact boundaries of your stakes but I'm fairly certain that there is at least one site within each of your stakes.
