Twin Cities YSA Ward Members & Friends,
It has been wonderful seeing each of you in our Sunday meetings and to be together with you once again. Our hearts have been touched by your spirits as well as the spirit of the Lord as we have partaken of the sacrament together. We have also strongly felt the Lord's desire for us to all meet together. This is not possible in the institute building. As we have counseled together and with President Pattberg, we have received permission to hold our sacrament meetings in the New Brighton building, which is large enough for up to 99 of us to meet together at the same time, while maintaining the required 6' physical separation. Our combined meeting attendance over the past 2 Sundays was within the Phase I limit of 99 people.
We are excited to share that beginning August 16th, the Twin Cities Young Single Adult Ward plans to meet together in one combined sacrament meeting each Sunday at 3pm in the New Brighton building. The building address is:
100 Silver Lake Rd NW
New Brighton, MN
This location will allow us to be together while keeping each other safe. We have agreed with the other wards in the building that we will follow the safety practices in place for that location. There will be more specifics as we get closer to the date, but it will include the requirement to maintain 6' separation as well as wearing masks, which we are already following. The Relief Society and elders quorum presidencies will be reaching out via ministering brothers/sisters to confirm how many will be able to join us in our combined sacrament meetings at the New Brighton building to ensure we meet the phase I capacity requirements.
We recognize that changing to a different time and location may be more difficult for some, particularly with work schedules or travel arrangements. We invite you to reach out to your ministering brothers and sisters, as well as our elders quorum and relief society presidencies for help in meeting your specific needs. They will have additional information and resources to help. We also understand that some may not yet feel comfortable, meeting together in person. Please know that we love you and support you in your decision to stay safe. If you would like consideration for having the sacrament brought to you, we ask that you contact Bishop Stoddard.
We are truly excited that the Lord has prepared a way that we can be together again. With that, we ask that we show our appreciation to the Lord, by following the guidance of His leaders to maintain physical distancing. It will be really difficult to avoid hugs, fist bumps, and handshakes, but we know you can do it.
Prior to the 16th, on Sundays August 2nd and August 9th, we will continue our final two weeks with 6 separate meetings at the institute building, inviting each to attend the meeting they were invited to. Each meeting will be a fast and testimony meeting for both weeks. We are looking forward to them!
Thank you all for your love and support.
We will see you soon!
Love,
Bishop Stoddard
