Anoka Minnesota Stake

Brothers & Sisters,

As announced on Sunday June 25,2023, the Brooklyn Park Branch (Spanish) was created as the ninth unit in the Anoka Minnesota stake.  Section 37.1.1 of the General Handbook states that members in stakes with a language unit "may choose to be members of the language unit or their geographic unit."  In this time of home-centered, church supported gospel worship, we are supportive of members prayerfully considering this option. 

If you speak Spanish and would like to consider becoming a member of the new Brooklyn Park Branch, we offer the following guidance:

• You must be a member of one of the following wards in the stake: Andover, Anoka, Elm Creek, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake, Shingle Creek, Weaver Lake.  Members in the Crystal ward who desire to attend a Spanish unit must attend the Twin Cities 1st Ward.
• You must be committed to fully engaging in the new branch and remaining in the branch for an extended period of time.  We do not want members switching back and forth between the language unit and the geographic unit.
• You should meet with your current bishop to counsel together about the decision to transfer your records.  Bishops have received additional direction and information that can be shared with you.

We are grateful for the guidance of the Lord as we continue to "lengthen [our] cords, and strengthen [our] stake. (Isaiah 54:2)

El 25 de Junio, 2023, se anunció la creación de la nueva rama de Brooklyn Park en la estaca de Anoka Minnesota.  La sección 37.1.1 del Manual General dice que los miembros de una estaca con una unidad en otro idioma "pueden elegir pertenecer a la unidad en otro idioma o a su unidad geográfica."  En este tiempo del aprendizaje y la enseñanza del Evangelio centrado en el hogar y apoyado por la iglesia, invitamos a los miembros a considerar sus opciones con mucha oración.  

Si usted habla Espanol y quiere pertenecer a la nueva rama, le ofrecemos lo siguiente consejo:
